Here again is another look at one of the things we love at CE Design Co. – Typography. This is something we gave you a sneek peak at a few weeks ago but are now able to unveil the piece in its full glory. Gotta love it… right? This was created for Johnson’s BBQ in Plant City, Florida. It’s a finger lickin’ good BBQ joint that serves up everything from pulled pork to fried pickles! Sometimes the south is good. As Brother Jimmy’s says “Put some south in your mouth”, this time with a side of typography.

Over the past month, we have had the opportunity to do some really fun projects for Fred’s Market and Johnson’s BBQ. Fred’s Market is working on some fresh advertisements as well as a campaign that tells specifically about some of the reasons you should head to Fred’s. Johnson’s BBQ… well they are gettin’ down and dirty trying to update their look. CE is working on a new menu, some fun ads and possibly even some chalkboard art! To say the least, here at CE, we have been having a blast chowin’ down to bring ‘em up to speed. Sneak peak of what to come is above. Lip Smackin’, Foot Tappin’, Knee Slappin’ Good!

A fun little project came through our doors about a month or two ago. Courtney Philpot, who has an amazing eye for fashion needed alittle help with her company image. After many meetings, photoshoots and brainstorming sessions, CE Design Co. finally came up with a creative way to show her style. We created a logo, business card, gift certificate and marketing piece, all tied together by a cohesive look. Keep an eye out for her new website to sprout up soon! According to WIKIPEDIA, Typography is the art and technique of arranging type, type design, and modifying type glyphs. Type glyphs are created and modified using a variety of illustration techniques. The arrangement of type involves the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, leading (line spacing), adjusting the spaces between groups of letters (tracking) and adjusting the space between pairs of letters (kerning).

If you ask me what my most favorite part of my job is, I would answer with just that… Typography. I could sit for hours on end and mess with fonts and all their different faces. Probably explains why I own a sweatshirt that says “KERN”. It’s just amazing what can come out of type…

We are pumped about seeing our latest TYPOGRAPHY project come to a completion. A huge wall mural will be plastered throughout the Highland Park Family Ministries Building. Installation is happening as we speak. Stay tuned to see the finished product.

Yep. That’s us today. We’re Just Peachee. The website is launched and this completes an entire identity redesign for Peachee Construction. Logo, Business Card, Letterhead and Envelope, Slogan, Pocket Folder, Brochure and Website. We hooked them up and we are kind of partial, but we think they are looking pretty good. A public display of affection (sometimes abbreviated PDA) is the physical demonstration of affection for another person while in the view of others. Holding hands or kissing in public are commonly considered to be unobjectionable forms of public displays of affection; however, what is considered objectionable depends on the context. – Thanks Wikipedia PDA is quite a peculiar little thing. Here’s another logo revamp that we are just ecstatic about. Springer-Peterson Roofing and Sheet Metal is one of our newest clients and we are thrilled that they took our advice and let us update their corporate image. New website is in the works. Check back soon for a sneak peak
